Kris Stroud is Executive Director for Academic Affairs with a joint appointment in the Office of Medical Education Research and Development (OMERAD). Kris provides leadership for the administrative, financial, human resources, information technology and space management functions of Academic Affairs and associated units. She also manages external relationships with hospital and other community partners to ensure success amongst eight community campuses, provides project management support, and connects volunteer faculty to university resources. Kris serves as the College Analytics Director with oversight of an embedded analytics and reporting team providing services to support college wide efforts. Kris joined the University in May 2008 and transitioned to the College of Human Medicine in November 2012.
Areas of Interest
Kris has spent her career working within higher education in the areas of financial administration, budget planning, business analytics, system implementation, and project management. During her time with the College of Human Medicine, she has led an effort to leverage data and build collaboration across units by developing systems for All Funds Mission Based Budgeting and Educational Assignments within the Shared Discovery Curriculum. These projects helped her to develop a deeper knowledge of the interconnectivity between the mission areas and build relationships across the departments and units. She has been a member of the AAMC Group on Information Resources since 2017 and is a founding member of the Data Driven Academic Medical Center group.
